Download the Launcher

02
Install the Game
Choose where to install on your PC. The launcher will download the full
Phoenix-Craft client (~20 GB) automatically. Go grab a coffee.

Required for initial install & updates
Do I need an existing World of Warcraft client?
No. The launcher downloads everything for you. You do not need to own or
have a copy of WoW — Phoenix-Craft is completely free to play.
I already downloaded the game. Do I need to re-download it?
No. Just download the launcher, run it, and point it at your existing
PhoenixCraft_3.3.5.a folder when asked. It will verify
your files and only download anything that's missing or outdated.
Why do I need to use the launcher instead of Wow.exe directly?
The launcher makes sure your client is always up to date and sets the
correct server address before launching. If you run Wow.exe directly you
may miss patches and be unable to connect.
Will Windows block the launcher?
Windows may flag it simply because it’s a .bat file — that’s normal.
If it gets blocked, right-click the file → Properties → tick Unblock at the bottom → OK, then run it.
Your browser may also show a download warning — click Keep to save it.
Not sure if you trust it? Right-click the file and open it in Notepad or any text editor — every line is readable and you can see exactly what it does.
